About Business (Administration) Traineeships

Almost every type of business has administrative functions.

There are currently over 30 different traineeships available in Western Australia for Business, Administration and Finance roles. Traineeship options include specific options for certain industry sectors, such as Automotive Administration, Real Estate, Legal Services and Financial Services. Training packages also allow for tailoring of skill sets to ensure the business traineeship aligns with the skills needs of the employer and industry sector.

Most Business traineeships are 12-24 months in duration. It is also possible to progress through qualifications (articulating) to build on and gain more advanced skills.

Many business traineeships can be delivered fully on the job, meaning trainees do not have to be released from work to attend a registered training provider campus such as a WA TAFE college for off the job training.

Commonly used Business traineeship options result in the following qualifications:

  • Certificate II, III and IV in Business

  • Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping

  • Certificate III in Accounts Administration

  • Certificate IV in Building Project Support

  • Certificate IV in Building and Construction

  • Certificate II, III and IV in Business

  • Certificate III in Business to Business Sales

  • Certificate IV in Credit Management

Traineeships in Business start at Certificate level II and go up to Diploma level.
